Our Mission

Our artisanal breeding farm is built on the principles of responsible agriculture, animal welfare, and ethical production practices—these are at the core of our daily efforts.

Production steps

Our farm oversees every step of production, from ducklings to distribution. This includes breeding, force-feeding, slaughter, processing, sales, and distribution. By managing these processes, we guarantee the highest quality products for our customers. Explore our dedication to sustainable agriculture!

Raising

We are taking care of more than 20 000 ducks.  The ducklings arrive right out of the egg. They are raised in our farm for 12 weeks in a spacious enclosures, where biosecurity is the priority at all times. They eat as much as they want, a feed without animal meal or medicine.

Pre-feeding

Around the tenth week , the rhythm of their diet is modified - that is called Pre-feeding period. The migration phenomen is recreated by offering rationed quantitites of feed. Instinctivly, ducks exercise their natural propensity to fatten up on their own. Thus, as soon as food is available in abundance again they ingest a larger quantity in order to stock up. They thus fill their crop which gains in elasticity and which will be ready for the next step - force feeding.

Force-feeding

During the last two weeks of raising, only some of our male ducks are fed morning and evening at set times, individually and by hand. Their diet then consist solely of mashed corn. The starch contained in this grain allows the duck liver to fatten considerably and finally to transform into foie gras, with a beautiful golden color and whose weight will reach on average 500 grams (8-10 times greater than the weight initial).

Slaughter

Our farm works with one of the biggest slaughterhouse in Bulgaria. It has all the needed certification to provide the highest quality of the futur products. In addition, each slaughtering step is carried out professionally by our employees. At the end of the process, all ducks are inspected by a government veterinarian to ensure the impeccable quality. Cooled in cool air, the meat is ready to be cooked in less than two hours or ready to be transport to distributors.

Transformation

We use the cutting room in the slaughterhouse, where the recipes for all the products are developed and brought to life. Authentic and natural, the products are handcrafted using only duck fat, broth and meat to wich top quality ingredients are added. The product thus have the color, smell and above all the flavor of real home cooking.

Distribution

The day after the slaugther, fresh meat is already available for distribution directly from the slaughterhouse, where we also keep some of our ranges of canned and processed products. We distribute to Europe markets and across the world.
